FAQs

Why being Preferred matters...
Q: How does the S&T Preferred Account differ from other checking accounts?
A: Other checking accounts with exclusive perks are limited to students, people 50 and older, or those who carry high balances. The S&T Preferred Account is for anyone who wants to take advantage of great features, including Preferred ExpressNet with BillPay, the Debit Rewards Card1 – which gives you cash back – and special interest rates on loans and CDs.

Q: What is Preferred ExpressNet with BillPay?
A: A revolutionary tool that lets you access your financial information on the Internet. Preferred ExpressNet provides the highest rated security software, allowing you to pay bills, view accounts, and perform other banking functions with the knowledge that your transactions are safe and secure.

Q: What does "free anywhere ATM transactions"2 mean?
A: S&T does not charge account holders for using ATMs inside nor outside of the bank's network. S&T will provide rebates for surcharges incurred at other banks. Up to 10 surcharge fees will be reimbursed per statement cycle.

Q: What is the Debit Rewards Card?1
A: For each time you purchase something using your Debit Rewards Card and sign your name as proof that you are the cardholder, you will receive 10 cents back from S&T Bank.

Q: Do I qualify for an S&T Preferred Account?
A: There are three ways to qualify: Keep a minimum daily balance of $1,000 in your account; have a combined Deposit and HOME Center outstanding loan balance of $50,000 or more; or pay a $10 monthly maintenance fee.

1 $.10 credited to your account for every credit or signature based transaction made with your Preferred Account debit card. The total debit reward incentive will be reported to customer on a 1099 INT for tax purposes.
